My current PC gaming

With the Wii and 360 around, my PC gaming has diminished a bit. At this point, it’s back to the old standby of mine, Counter-Strike. I first played the game shortly before Steam came out, and I’ve been playing on and off ever since. The balance in the game is nearly perfect, which is probably why nearly ten years later people are still playing the game in massive numbers.

Another game I’ve been playing is The Specialists, a deathmatch-centric game with all sorts of stunts like diving, flipping, kung-fu, and lots and lots of guns. However, I play less and less because of diminishing playerbase, and the fact that the “endgame” is essnetially a game of exploiting the flaws in the hitboxes and movement systems, and either spamming akimbo pistols or one-shotting everyone with the Desert Eagle. The next update to the game, TS 3.0, has been in development for, what, 3 years now? I put it in the same category as Duke Nukem Forever.

Also, Line Rider. Link is on the right. Simple. Fun. 🙂

I have Unreal Tournament 2004 installed, but it hasn’t seen play in a looooong time, mainly because I suck at fast paced shooters. I also own Age of Empires III and Battlefield 2, but I can’t stand the latter’s excess of bugs and lack of quality, and the former sucks total ass compared to the awesome Age of Empires II: Age of Kings.

I need to get Worms: Armageddon again.
